Layout - Garden path layout

Hi to all, new to the forum and to block paving. This is my first project, got the book, tried to work out a layout problem but need help. I'm replacing the concrete slab path to my doorway, due to a slight change in the layout, i have a problem with cuts/angles etc.
The new path will consist of a small chamfered kerb (100mm square), charcoal soldier course (200 x 100 x 50) and brindle basket weave (laid as a four sets of two - 800mm wide) in between, giving a path width of 1200mm. at the door end of the path, i decided to go as wide as the doorstep slab which is1800mm wide, coming off the straight run in a "dog leg", left and right. how can i keep the consistency of the soldiers at the dog leg ? Any help at this stage would be appreciated. Ive already laid the left side straight run of kerbs to the point where they should break away before the wider part. I will attach a drawing (used MS word) and/or a foto as soon as i find out how to attach a document/file to the post.

why not just keep the path straight and use a radius kerb kit to do a semi circle step where the doorstep slab is
IMHO the 2 dog legs you describe wont look right.
the radius kerbs can be alternated with normal ones to give you your 1800mm diameter and i think it would be more pleasing to the eye

hi LLL, thanks for the response. that sounds like a good idea, but im not sure about the gaps/slips/darts thing. This is my first ever go at it and although a straight run would have been very simple to do, i think it needs something to make it look a bit different. i will think of a few possible layouts for this part, although i might be limited as to what i can do. as soon as i post some fotos, maybe someone will give me a better idea than mine but i'll keep the radius thing as my next best option.
