Hi there,

First post and first crack at laying my driveway, therefore many questions will be asked!

I'm trying to understand the Edge course for a driveway. Is the concrete layed without any shuttering?

Will it not run away without it or does the correct Slump keep it in place?

Once the concrete has been layed, when do I apply the edge on top, striaght away or near hardening point?

Many thanks indeed,
Drew

to be brutally honest mate if you are that far away from knowing what to do ,you will struggle and balls it up.
the concrete for the edging course needs to be stiff,so stiff that if you put a bucket of it on the ground it will nearly hold its shape
really you need a retired builder or something like that to guide you by the sounds of it
cheers LLL

lutonlagerlout I apprecaite your comments. I just needed to hear that expert advice to confirm what I thought would happen when I lay the concrete.
