Hi , i have recently had my drive block paved and was wondering is it ok to wash car on it as it seems to bring up all the sand inbetween the blocks and i'm worried about blocks becoming loose and even possible drain blockage as water washes loosened sand away , cheers

The risk of blocks becomiung loose is of more concern than any risk of drain blockage. It would take a phenomenal amount of sand to block a 100mm pipe, but lost jointing sand = loose blocks = failed paving.

No block paving should be subjected to power washers or large quantities of water until the jointing has self-sealed, which usually takes 3 months or so. If you want to be able to wash the car sooner than that, you need a joint stabiliser, such as Oscrete or Keybond, but if car washing is likely to be a regular feature of your driveway activities, then it's worth considering a quality sealant be applied after 3-6 months.
