Never let a DIY'r loose on a block paved driveway....Well it started with the right intentions.....boy do I wish I had read this forum first....
Same old story thought I would get rid of the weeds growing in between the blocks...used the power washer and got very carried away....wow off the weeds flew complete with sand.....and before I knew hey presto all clean....then I went to the local DIY shop and purchased normal sand and tried to brush it in while the drive was still wet down the gaps....what a mess now...now everytime it rains the sand either sinks through the gaps or piles up on the top of the blocks.....
What should I do now.....get a rope and start swinging ???
Diy'r shoot me - Messed up the block paving !!

probably best to wash out the remaiining new sand you put in with the washer nozzle kept at a really shallow angle to the paving to stop you going through to the base. then buy some kiln dried sand and brush in ONLY when the paving is totaly dry, brush plenty in and then compact the blocks to make sure the sand is inbetween all the blocks locking them. top up the sand again within a few weeks or sooner if needed.
