we have a front drive approx 120 sq meters, kind of double L shaped, and i am thinking of setting it out in 4 metre wide bays useing alternative color paviors bedded in concrete ,as bands running away from the house ,then screeding the sand between theses bands and laying and finishing each sectionat a time, because i can`t finish the job in just a couple of days, only working weekendsand have big parking problems on the road outside, this way,as i finish a section, the family can drive on the finished sections straight away,my question is,do you think the paving bedded on the sand will settle a bit lower than the bands bedded on concreteafter a few months.?
Any help mnch apprechated

If you properly prep the sand-bedded areas, there shouldn't be a problem. We use this method all the time for larger areas. The key is to understand just how much compaction will occur with the sand-bedded blocks, relative to the band courses, and to set out your construction accordingly.
