Hi guys,
Hopefully you can help confirm or deny my thoughts! We have recently moved into a new property with a grit/gravel driveway with edging blocks laid around the perimeter.
It looks nice but the stones are forever being brought into the house and scratching the wooden floors. As a result we have decided to lay a block paved drive.
Now, I ASSUME that underneath the gravel the builder would have had to have laid a solid base onto which the gravel was poured? Would the work involved literally be to remove all the gravel, lay a bed of sand and then lay the blocks??
If so, may DIY!!
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Mark
