Hello,

I've just spend the weekend digging and concreting my kerb stones in place.
I'm now ready to start the interesting jobs...

I have bought a tonne of grit sand for my laying course, now i realise I need a sub base. Half of my path is going on an existing concrete path but the other is going on bare soil.

I've read the website but it's full of jargon that will only mean anything to those in the know.

My question is what exactly do i order from Jewsons and will they understand the lingo? Do the materials have names that Joe Public will understand?

Full of jargon? You really know how to get a comprehensive answer from me, don't you.

I suggest you go back, re-read the site, and not waste any more of my time. Nipple!

A slightly harsh response there.
The average man on the street would think MOT was simply something he had to treat his car to once a year.

I ordered a tonne of the stuff anyway , and I'll be ordering a couple more tomorrow to keep me entertained over the Easter weekend.
Thanks for your help.

That's why it's not called "MOT" - it's DTp Type 1, but then, that's just jargon....or at least it is if you haven't read the website.

Well that's what Jewsons refer to it as. It has the Type 1 on the receipt.

I have read the website thanks I found it quite very useful. I'm guessing you are just one of those people that read something and never have any questions afterwards.
