Hi all.
Firstly, what a brilliant site!

I need some really good advice, folks.
I've been offered a load of pea gravel and want to lay it in two areas in front of and behind my house (the patio).

These areas were formerly covered in crazy paving and patio slabs respectively, all of which have now gone, leaving what i can only call a solid, apparently sand/cement mix underneath.

Do i need to do anything to this in order to prepare for the pea gravel?

You need to read the pages that deal with gravel path and driveway construction, which you'll find on the main website.
