We've recently (3-4 weeks ago) had our driveway block paved in Marshalls Tegular blocks. We are happy with the job, but I am having one problem with the jointing sand. When I'm washing my car I'm finding that I'm washing away the jointing sand. I'm being super careful at not directing the hose at the paving, but even the water running off the car can cause the problem. The joints might be wider than normal (5-10mm), but I'm not sure if this is due to the nature of the block. My question is there anything I can do? I've seen the sealent's and the joint stabilisation systems, has anyone tried them? Will they solve the problem? Can anyone recommend one? Is there anything else I could do?
Thanks in advance!

It will take 3-4 months for the jointing sand to stabilise (your installer really ought to have explained all this!) and until then, the best thing you can do is keep topping up the empty joints with fresh jointing sand on a regular basis. If, after 3-4 months, you're still having problems, that would be the time to consider a stabilising fluid, but for now, give it time to settle in.
