Can anyone please help.
I'm laying edging bricks prior to laying slabs. The edging bricks are being laid against a wall. I don't seem to be able to find information on the website regarding the best material to lay the bricks on. I.E. should I use sand or mortar. And if it's mortar what mix ?.
and what is the best method of levelling the bricks with the required slope away from the wall, that also matches the slope that I will need to have on the slabs.

Lay your edge courses on a cement-bound bedding mix - a 1:3:6 mix should be fine and you can read more about the methods on this page
Use a small spirit level (sometomes known as a boat level or torpedo level) to check your edge courses for crossfall. If you have levels established for the slabs/flags, then you can use a straightedge to check that the fall on the edge courses will match that of the (eventual) slabs/flags.
