Hi, My driveway was badly damaged by a cowboy builder. He has since attempted to repair by replacing blocks etc. there are gaps between the blocks and the builder told me that they will soon 'fuse' together. I am sure this is rubbish. Surely the gaps need to be filled in , in order to prevent weeds growing through. My neighbour told me that a mix of 50% sand and cement(dry) should be swept over the drive to fill in gaps. can someone please help me with advice.

Also he left part of the driveway stained. he said that it will come out in time. he has just sent a lacky round to jet was the area. Any advice and help if that doesn't work.

I have been a very very sorry victim of a cowboy builder. I have sleepless nights over all the damage he has done to my house.

Any gaps should be no wider than 5mm and they should be filled with jointing sand, NOT with sand and cement. Ignore the neighbour: they know less than the eejit builder!

Staining: some staining will disappear over time, but it all depends on the type of stain. Heavy cement stains tend to hang around for years.
