Hello. im a complete novice to both this forum and to landscaping. So any help will be greatly appreciated.

I would like to build a simple driveway in my front garden. presently my garden is a lawn which run from the house up to the pavement (drop kerb already there, which is lucky). I have fitted driveway gates after removing some of my hedges and would now like to build a simple driveway on which to park my car.

I was thinking of just 2 strips of paving slabs running in a straight line would suffice, with maybe a bit of gravel in the middle.

As i say im a novice with a low budget and not sure how to go about it. can anyone offer any advice please?

Also, is my plan the easiest option?

Cheers.
