I'm looking for a block paving contractor in Shenfield/Brentwood area. So far i have had a quote for 70 sqm @ £65.00 sqm excl drainage and steps. I've also had a quote for £6,800, but not sure how these figures are made out - seems very expensive.

65 quid per square metre is a fair price for your part of the world. I have seen prices from decent contractors as low as 50 quid per m², but I've also seen dozens of prices well in excess of 70 quid.

Im am a block paving company based in southend on sea that does sound alot of money but all depends on what type of block you are looking for,
