Hi,
I am a Novice, so please excuse me for the basic question.
I don't understand how I should cut the paving block for my Mowing Strip. Please have a look at Brick_Cut.jpg posted to Info@... How easy is it to cut a V shape in the brick to fill the Gap? What tools do you recommend? Is there a better way?

...which is damned near identical. However, I'm not totally happy that the cut blocks in this second photie are cut to a point, which is a weakness. The absolutely, 100% right, mega-professional way to do it is as shown on the Forming Mitre Joints page of the main website.

I still don't understand/ need clarification on the following:-
1) I should place my paving brick dirctly on Class M sharp sand?
2) I was intending to leave a small gap between each brick and mortar the bricks with building sand and cement (4:1). however from your photos I see no gap, so I guess there is no need to mortor?

The edge courses are best laid on a bed of concrete, as described on the Edge Courses page, and there is no need to mortar them, unless you really enjoy making work for yourself. :)
