I am relaying and patching 40m2 cobble courtyard for foot traffic only. Its at a very old farmhouse and would prefer not to use concrete/cement.
Hoggin is recomended by pavingexpert but I cant find Hoggin locally (Somerset) what are the alternatives?
The sub base is a compacted shillet/shale. (The house was built on it)
How many days would you allow for it? Anyone with experience of traditional cobbles in the Somerset area like to take on the job?

hoggin is not recommended for anything really,it is a mixture of clay and sand
cobbles or setts need to be laid and sharp sand and cement
