Is there any special considerations for paving to the edge of the bickwork of a house to prevent water/draining problems to bricks and house slab ??

The finished height of the pavers should be minimum of 6 inches below dpc ( damp proof course ) and sloping away from the house .

Full marks to Gaddo - that's about the sum of it!

If you're using block pavers, it's a very good idea to use an edge course (aka a "Soldier Course") to the perimeter, particularly against fixed objects such as the house walls, as it makes cutting-in much easier.
