Maybe it's the heat'n'humidity addling me brane, but I can't follow your description. The path you plan to lay is 50mm higher than the public footpath: is that correct? And you wish to use an edging kerb at the sides:correct?

I still can't see what's the problem! Try explaining it to me again.

So, you're looking to the interface between your new path and the public footpath, where there's a 50mm difference: is that it?

What about using one of the kerb units? Would that work?

I looked on the kerb page but arnt sure which would be best.At the moment it is like a angle fillet of concrete.but all the water sits round my gate posts.i may be better leaving the edge of and draining to the sides.would i have promlems with a water hydrent as it will be a little lower can you get small covers ?cheers.

Can you send me a photo? I'm having difficulty visualising all of this.
