Gravel drive - Reinforcement mesh

Setts and cobbles, tarmac, asphalt, resin systems, concrete whether it's plain, patterned or stencilled, gravels, etc.

Could somebody plse advise whether plastic reinforcement mesh is necessary. What exactly does it do? Why does gravel have to be reinforced? Many thnks. While I'm on I'm looking for a drive contractor in West Sussex

if your drive is flat ,it doesnt need it
but if you have more than a 5 degree slope you will almost certainly need a grid system to stop the gravel migrating to the bottom of the slope
