A client asked me today if it is possible to seal Granite Setts to stop oil staining. Obviously the standard conc. products can be sealed, but what about the proper granite. The setts are laid on mortar with 10mm mortar joints that are flush with the top of the setts.
Is there a special sealant for granite, or will the Resiblock type stuff do ?

You can seal granite setts, if you really want to. There are some special sealants for igneous and impermeable stone, but they are generally for internal use, when granite has been used for kitchen floors or worktops, and I'm not sure that they'd be suitable for outdoor use.
Of the usual paving sealants, I'm pretty sure that Resiblock '22' Ultra would be eminently suitable, because of its adhesive properties, or, my second choice would be Wet Seal from Delta, which is, allegedly, ideal for unpolished granite and marble.
Make sure the existing setts are thoroughly clean and free from all dust and detritus before attempting to seal, and bear in mind that you'll probably need two coats for best results.
