Imprinted concrete - Re-colouring

I have an imprinted concrete driveway and patio area, both of which require resealing (as recommended by the original installer). Unfortunately the colour has badly faded over the years. What success might I expect if I go ahead with the extra cost of the re-colouring, I have had several conflicting opinions on its success
