I know the old fella has gone but you are a worthy heir to fred dibnah who did all sorts in his garden
even a coal mine IIRC ,till they made him fill it in :)

Ha. Channel four were in my village tother day and I was going to be interviewed regarding my old morris van. I got thinking if they asked me who my heroes are intended would have said Fred dibnah, Jim bowen, johny kingdom

One of the best afternoons of my life was when Fred D turned up, complete with Alf Molyneux and the beloved steam traction engine, unannounced, at my brother-in-law's wedding - they were filming summat at the colliery next to the pub where we were holding the reception.

Once Fred got a taste for the ale, there was no further filming that day - just tales and ale a-plenty and bloody great craic!
