Mine is only a 2.6L but I was driving last week and saw a Cabstar that belongs to one of the posters on this thread and it was going 90mph! I could only just keep up in my Astravan to catch the logo and see that it was the 3.0L version. I think I would go for the 3.0L if possible but I still wouldn't drive it at 90mph! Mine doesn't really go above 70mph.

i blew the engine up on a mark 2 transit a few years ago and my mate in the garage put something like a 3.0l granada scorpio engine in (cant be sure of this ) anyway it went like a rocket,i had 110mph out of it up the A5 not clever but i was only 20 and there were no speed cameras then
i dont particularly like doing over 60 mph in any sort of commercial vehicle (astravans are a bit different as they are car derived)
