So I get an enquiry on Friday for some work. I just phoned it in as, you know, I have a life out of work.. at least I try to have one.
So firstly she's put out by my 2 day delay in getting back to her cos apparently I'm not allowed to have a weekend. Then she's totally inflexible regarding the times to view the job.
She's had 2 quotes already (for 5 panels being replaced) and is again put out by the fact that I'm not willing to quote after 7pm Monday or Friday. In the dark... So I say, well, if the fence is being replaced like for like perhaps you don't need to be there?? Obv she goes off on a rant about this also...
So I said, oh, sorry, it appears our schedules don't fit. Sorry I can't help you, bye. And put the phone down...
Honestly... I haven't got the patience for this anymore.

GB is right. NO WAY that thing could have been reasoned with. To do so would have triggered her even more than she was already triggered by her backwards irrational mindset.
Best to cut the conversation dead and put the phone down.
Had the same thing last summer with a guy. I was in the dentists and gave him a date that I could come round which wasn't convenient for him. He expected me to just come immediately, asking did I want the work or not. So I said no I don't and put the phone down.
