Hope Pacquiao knocks him out in a spectacular fight. I think it will be a boring fight that Mayweather wins on points though.

Did you read my mind? I hope Pacquiao goes for bust and Kos Mayweather or gets KOed in a decent fight but I fear Mayweather to cautiously out box Pacquiao in a bore but still good to see every one talking about boxing again.

I think Buncey nailed it in the paper today when he said its a good fight but not a great one
these two versus tommy hearns ,or jose napoles, or the real sugar ray robinson at welter
in their prime?
is mayweather really unbeaten?
I had castillo 115-113 in 2002
oscar de la hoya arguably beat him

I would love to see pac man KO pretty boy , but the stats dont say that
neither fighter has had a KO win for 6 and 4 years respectively so it looks like pretty boy on points

I know boxing is a business but these 2 should have fought at lightweight
duran would do both of them on the same night

IMHO :;): :;):
what time do you reckon the actual fight will be on in the UK CC?

Last great fight for me was when barrera gave naseem a boxing lesson

cheers LLL

pacman if they come out fighting
got a feeling mayweather will drag it out for a points victory
time and time again you get these types of fight where talk is thrown down i really hope its not a case of fraudley vs williams they seem to be game for it so hopefully theyll come out all guns blazing

as I see it pac man started at flyweight so is naturally a smaller man
the more I think it through I reckon mayweather will stop pac man around the 8th round
but dont get me wrong mayweather has hand picked his opponents and has ducked antonio margarito and amir khan, and I highly doubt he would fight kell brook
all big punchers and more natural men at the weight
having said all this I want pac man to win

I also want Pac to win, and he maybe able to out work Mayweather, but Floyd has all the aces, he's bigger, has longer reach, better technically, less shop worn, better defence. I hope Pac puts it on the line and gets lucky, but I am sticking with Mayweather on points.

I always thought Amir kahn wasnt a great fighter lots of hand picked fights with people eithet going i to or came out of retirement. The time he faced soneone who had a decent punch prescott destroyed him

Boxings been dying a slow death since the mid to late 00's.
I love the sport but the last decent fight I saw was when calzahgi destroyed lacy.
I heard on the radio that some tickets were selling for 150000 grand.
Boxings too tame these days. I'm sure there were people saying the same in the 60's and 70's talking about how fights only last 15 rounds compared to the 40 rounders they saw in the previous generations.

12 rounds of coasting for enough money to retire on is all were going to see.

mayweather for me

biggest farce I watched with boxing was when Benn fought Eubank at Old Trafford in 1993, we were sat behind the goals in K stand and it was announced a draw, there was no way that fight should have been a draw it was purely for the re match and the big purse, big at the time but peanuts when compared to the payout this Saturday

I have watched some cracking fights over the years Simon especially the early days of Mike Tyson when he won the world title in 1986 and even earlier in the 70's with Ali and Frazier, classic fights

The fight where Frazier beat Ali is my favourite fight of all time even though Ali is my favourite heavyweight.
The golden days of boxing didn't just have great fighters, it also had great carachters and there were plenty of them.
Not sure why there are no fighters like that around anymore but it's a shame.
Thinking about it, there aren't many colourful carachters around in any sport these days.
If think the future of prize fighting is in MMA now. It seems to have grown a lot over the last 15 years.
