Re password change email

Tony, I received an email from paving expert today saying i requested a new password. I don't remember requesting any password change lately. Has anyone tried to change it unbeknowns to me and has anyone else had the same email? Regards Sean.

lemme check but I would ignore any email like that sean almost certainly spammer/phishers

just checked and only 1 user has requested a password change in the last 2 weeks and it wasnt you sean
I would disregard that email

I understand the technical term for this is spear phishing. As they are targeting Sean based on personal information about their target to increase the probability of success.

Sean, I would advise you to run an up to date virus/spyware checker on your machine(s), as they appear to have relevant information about you.
