I would like a quote for work on my drive and was hoping that a member of this forum may be interested in the job or know of someone with the appropriate experience The drive is essentially in two parts, a flat section from to the house to the gate and a then a sloping section from the gate to the road Around 10 years ago a good thick layer of hardcore was laid which forms a solid base This is somewhat surface contaminated however although there is a geotextile beneath so no major problems For the flat section we were thinking of using self binding gravel (I estimate around 20 tonnes needed at 40 - 50 mm) although some extra hardcore is required to get the levels right For the sloping section certainly some concreting is needed near the main entrance as this gets churned up by wheelspin.

I could try local tradesmen but I have a feeling there is limited experience with doing this For instance Travis Perkins had never heard of the term 'Self binding gravel' and Jewsons said they would need to order it in specially

We are situated in North Notts

Thanks on advance
