exactly the same thing happened to me at stopsley working mans club in the early 90s
pushing a barrow up 2 scaff boards in the rain

all the old boys cheered,they were watching us on the cctv

been close a few times the worst one is that moment when you have a barrow that is loaded a bit too much and your just short of the end of the ramp and run out of grip with your boots or momentum its then a choice of three try and tip where you are, run backwards down the ramp or jump down and try to keep the barrow on the board lol
