I know I can be rude to posters and enquirers at times. However, I'm not selling owt so I don't feel it necessary to waste valuable courtesy on obvious eejits, but I generally find that suppliers, distributors, manufacturers, agents and the like bite their tongue and maintain a basic level of politeness when communication with potential customers, even ones with obvious intelligence deficiencies.
This week, I've been blighted by a Del-Boy seller of cheap-n-nasty imported sandstone at you-know-it-must-be-shite prices who has the worst customer service attitude I've ever encountered.
On being told that I don't buy or sell stone and therefore have no interest in their offer, the response from Treadstone Paving of Bedfordshire is that I'm a "twatt" (note the two t's for effect) which was followed up by racist slurs, further foul language with foul spelling and equally foul grammer, and a hard-to-refuse invitation to perform a sexual act upon the business owner, who fails to give a name.
We had/have a thread recently where we congratulate good service, and I know we have umpteen threads berating shoddy work or lacklustre supply, but this crowd have plumbed new depths. I feel duty bound to warn others of a more delicate or sensitive nature to avoid these rogues as handing over money for their third-rate cast-offs will only encourage them to stay in the business and do further harm to the repuation of our trade.
Surely bankruptcy won't be too far away, but it can't come too soon, as far as I can see.
