Rained off this afternoon, so, tired of getting moaned at about it, I took my scrap pile into Stockport to weigh in.
Was like a scene from Mad Max.
People of every nationality under the sun, dozens of beat up transits queueing to get in, blokes smashing washing machines up with sledge hammers, heavy machinery tossing cars about.
Got plenty of abuse from the tatters who recognised me as the bloke who won't part with any of his scrap

Did a quick bit of Flowpointing, but I'm knackered, got a 30m2 Lawn to lay, fence and Rendered wall to Paint and shite load of planting to put in to finish, we're running a week late and no sign of it fecking stopping. At least I'm getting up to date with my paperwork, shame my cash flow isn't running along as smoothly!!
Just a little thought, don't the Water companies employ weather analyists? Surely this current weather hasn't just magically appeared, did they issue the hosepipe ban a bit prematurely, and why isn't the Government offering subsidies for Rainwater harvesting schemes, instead of shoving 6' of insulation in everything they can manage to stuff it into, don't any of their mates own Water harvetsing companies?

Fitting treatment plant yesterday 2.4x2.4x3m deep, rain 7-1.30 fooking soaked, hole holding water sticky clay, digger driver not that quick, got it in but was not a easy job,

before any one passes comment the bossed coupling on the tank was only to allow that pipe to let pumped water in to hold it down
connected pipes today, backfilled ready for pumped outlet and sparky, then the rain came back
