Thats fantastic
The nokia phone i left on top of a wheelie bin over night in the rain had to be sent away to be cleaned and reset to factory settiings
I was told it only takes 1 spec of dampness on a contact and the phone starts to go faulty which indeed it did do, i tried the drying on the radiator but it started to turn itsself off and then on again over and over

It's best not to have the thing powered up if it has got wet. Water lets electricity track across to where it's not wanted, and can create little carbon tracks that will still conduct while dry. As soon as possible take the battery out and dry it separately. In the case of a mains powered device, turn it off at the wall or consumer unit/distribution board, or unplug it if it's safe to do so.
This is general advice for any electrical or electronic device. The trouble is that if you've dropped it, it was when you were using it. It will most likely be on. I don't know if it's better to remove a battery straight away, confusing the device, or to turn the device off first. With mains powered devices, like power tools, I would remove the supply first. Especially before even touching the thing.
These folk have some advice; they should know what they are on about as their professional cameras often lead a hard life:
