Hi
Anyone interested in quoting for a job in Sheffield S21?
I've just put a job up on ratedpeople but if there are any Sheffield or surrounding area based people that would be interested in quoting for the job then please get in touch.
Here's a link to the problem

Many thanks

AFAIK all the organisations like trust a trader and rated people only work if you are prepared to work for food
a friend of mine used them for a while but got fed up quoting against 10 people prepared to cut corners and do it cheaper
make sure who ever does it works to the spec matt

cheers for the replies
The only person i know on here i know is from Sheffield area is Giles (GB_Groundworks) and i've contacted him previously\and again recently but unfortunately he's been flat out for months so not been able to come and look at the job. And he's away on holiday shortly for a couple of weeks.
And we've got no friends that have had similar work done that can recommend anyone so hence using ratedpeople and on here. i thought that at least with ratedpeople you some sort of reviewing so you can see that people are happy with the previous work that they've done. Although tbh i've used tradesmen that have come recommended through a local internet forum but either i've been particularly unlucky or other peoples standards as to what is a good quality job is a lot lower than mine i'm not sure.
I have been bitten before by useless tradesmen so i'm well aware that cheapest isn't the best, but i've had the misfortune of finding out that not the cheapest can also be crap as well
Anyway if anyone has any recommendation for people in the area then it would be very much appreciated
Cheers
Matt

have you tried contacting your local building control officer
I know they have a mental list of good builders
we have had jobs this way in that manner
