Yeah but look at recent cases it wasn't until it went public that ppl felt they'd be believed

You have to see it from the victims point of view. If they're going to the police station, its a big effort on their part to tell the story ,let along be believed. If these scum are 'outed' theres a better chance victims will come forward. It looks as though the police are being proactive about it and taking sex crime seriously.

Forty years ago i gave Tarby a punch in the face in Rebecca's nightclub, he barged in the door with a heavy team and knocked me out of the way, spilt my drink and told me to f*** off. Arrogant bastard, so i smacked him, needless to say his 'boys' gave me a good kicking :p

All this recent stuff makes me think of that play "The Crucible" by Arthur Miller. It was about the Salem witch trials in America. It gave an idea of how dangerous these things can become, how people join in and sensible people get ignored. Trouble is it makes good news. At the same time it can harm dreadfully innocent people falsely accused.

None. There aren't any witches - and weren't then. The hundreds killed were innocent people. Killed because other people imagined there were such things and were encouraged by these "Witchfinders" to identify some.

I agree we should'nt accuse anyone ( trial by meja) but the man who is saying it happened has a right to be heard, as do all the others. Once they do get found guilty, then it is open season. We have been down this road before Edgar and it resulted in the topic being locked, So let's tread carefully :;):

Have to say I was disgusted at itv last night. They were scrolling a list of sex offenders. Then I realised it was the credits for coronation street!
