I have a garage in a shared block with other residents, the access route is I am guessing self-binding gravel which has developed a number of pot holes. We have had a big quote from the managing agents for it all to be tarmaced.
Could we instead fill the holes with bags of self-binding gravel, would it have to be tamped down with something nechanical or could it be left to settle on its own? There is a drain in the centre that is at a lower level than the ground and has a pothole developing round it, could we put the gravel here too, will it stabilise enough not to wash away?
your advice would be appreciated! thanks, P
