Can you circulate this around especially as Xmas is fast approaching - it has been confirmed by Royal Mail. The Trading Standards Office are making people aware of the following scam:
A card is posted through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel Delivery Service) suggesting that they were unable to deliver a parcel and that you need to contact them on 0906 6611911 (a Premium rate number).

aauction in luton this weekend
you know the routine, press adverts full of tales of 60 inch tvs for 100 quid, picassos for 400 quid
the fact they have a lot of heavies at the "auction " says it all for me
4 weeks before xmas so get plenty of the GP
its all legal but rarely do folk get a real bargain from these type of auctions

The places that allow them to hire the venues should be done for allowing them to take place.
I work for a metal firm and we get all sorts normally a white transit guy jumps out and says " I'm from buffalo stainless and I've come to pick that coil up their" it's tempting to stick the 5 tonne stainless coil in the back of the van just to see there face when the vans lowered.
