Have developed this phobia thing for blood over the past six months, and it aggressively getting worse, started with just a bit of dizziness and having to sit down when blood was on tv up until today........
Was in the timber yard this morning..went to pull a 12 foot 8x2 timber out the pack thinking it would be tight in any way i pulled hard and it came flying out and slammed my finger into a manitou bucket behind, split my finger open exposing all sorts.
Anyhow managed to get back to the job and started cleaning it up in our mobile workshop container, next thing i know i woke up with a scuffed head 30 feet away from the container doors :s with people trying to pick me up...
Got home, went to clean it, started bleeding and bang....dropped like a sack of shit.
I cant even think about it nowadays with going dizzy?
Anyone else with strange phobias?
My other is slugs....i go dizzy at the sight of one?

thats odd dan
i am not keen on slugs but 1 swift slice with the hoe generally dispatches them on the allotment
just did about 30 and left them for the birds
my big one is rats,we lived right next to the main railway line in luton when i was a toddler and 1 of my earliest memories is rats running across my eiderdown
my old fella filled all their holes with cement mixed with broken glass and the next day the garden was full of dead rats ,they looked as big as cats to my young mind
yuk!

It was weird because i couldnt see at all for around 5 mins before passing out and around 20 mins afterwards, i am on some hefty medication of late for other issues (insomnia/other stuff) but only the last month this blood thing has been going on a while....just odd

Another vote for slugs right here.
And frogs.
And anything to do with eyes, anybody other than myself having injections (including Bart Simpson), official forms, leaving answer phone messages and the sound of cutting plasterboard with a stanley knife. All of these produce an irrational reaction from me.

Im going to try not to sound rude dan but im not good at it, you need to speak to someone about all this. Its not right. Have a mate who cant eat in front of people now, he then stopped touching things because of fears about bacteria, its ruining his life in hundreds of ways. He is still trying to ignore the blatant issues 10 yrs on

I hate rats - the ones in Luanda are the biggest I have ever seen.
I worked on a job for a General who could never make up her mind. She could not visualise plans. She would go out and buy a shower tray for US$5000, have it installed and then say she did not like it. She would then buy another for a further US$5000 or so with different dimensions and the same would happen. After having blown US$20000 on shower trays she would then say let's put the bathroom in the kitchen and move the kitchen elsewhere...
5 years on she still only has a vague sort of superstructure and the Luanda sewers have been open for much of this time within the living room of this house and elsewhere internally.
I am now a friendly consultant to her, having moved on. One normally turns up at work in flipflops here due to the heat when travelling and one changes into boots at work which one stores onsite once there. But I would never walk into that site in flipflops these days due to the obstinate rats which aren't scared of humans and could easily chew a toe off.
I've told her to employ Candy & Candy now as she only obviously wants the best that an Oliogarch might...

I had a mate with a serious OCD problem. His bedroom was like a shrine. He would get home from a night house and wash all his clothes before going to bed. He would also sleep on the floor because he couldnt bare the thought of creasing his covers. He's getting better now but it really messed him up for about 10 years

The London Stone office is pretty OCD. On of our brothers, Gavin, likes everything to be at perpendicular angles on his desk. One of our colleagues bought some grey plastic letter trays for the office the other day, but because they weren't exactly the same as the ones we already have (which are also grey and plastic as it goes) they went straight back to Viking to be swapped!

That's not a phobia Dan, bet you are a bit stressed over that. My missus hits the floor a the slightest hint of blood, which made getting a blood sample, when she was pregnant with our first, fun. She fainted twice, once in the queue before we even got in the room and then again during the procedure. If any of the kids cut themselves too badly, she just goes to pieces, which stresses the poor little un's. I had to get me 8 year old to get a splinter out of me back last week cos I couldn't reach it and she wouldn't do it..... the young un managed it after a couple of trial runs, smarted a bit though
