This is the media age, surely we will get the `how it all went wrong` interview, the book, fitness video and bloody app ?.

No such thing as bad publicity, look at Joey Barton, still working :(

Pure greed & stupidity. He had a good career ahead of him and he's thrown it away for 20K. Bet he's feeling like a right plum as he lies awake in his cell tonight

thing is loads of people succumb to easy credit and debts that follow
I know a fella who inherited 90k when his mum sadly passed away
i said to him "i expect you will pay a lump off your mortgage mark?"
he went out and bought a brand new golf corradovr6
then the luxury holidays and new clothes followed

within a year he was potless and owed 30 k on his credit cards

there is something wrong with a justice system that penalisies someone, not so very well off, who is trying to feed a family and put shoes on the kids feet. On the other hand you have bankers ( spelt with a capital w ) security companies and wealthy people who can fleece us out of millions but nothing happens to them. Being in prison will cause that guy and his family so much hardship as it will be hard to get employment. ???

I agree about bankers and CEOs needing the jail, they run the country, not the government.

Don't agree about him not being able to feed his family. He made the choice to break the law, he knew he would be punished if he got caught. When I first started up in business I was surviving off £100 a week and working 60+ hours every week. I couldn't go out partying etc but I was eating healthily and had a roof over my head.
If I ever got to the point where my kids were going hungry and I couldn't find any work I would be dumpster diving Freegan style and if that still wasn't enough then I would be stealing food from the supermarkets.

I deliver gas to a lot of estates and dumps where they can't afford central heating and you would be surprised at how many of them still have big plasma tvs, satelite dishes outside with all the channels, latest iphones etc
