had the fan belt bust on my iskei compact tractor, no problem quick call to local dealer (earnest doe ) have one next day,got my wife to pick it up,got home from work to find belt on table with receipt for £47 . what a bloody rip off. it went back the next morning ,bought the same v belt for £5.38. some of these firm's are taking the piff

thats nothing i went into jewsons last week for 12 m of driveline 50 and they charged me £17.40 +vat
when i explained i had an account they said that had already been taken into account :O
I bought tegula from gibbs and dandys who i spend a lot more with for £19.10 a metre
jewsons and gibbs are both owned by saint gobain
some big french outfoit
go figure

its amazing how often all the big firms round here give u best price only to drop down when u tell them the other firm were cheaper, every thing i order now goes down the same route.over the course of a month it can come to a tidy few quid,better i have than mr travis or mr parker.!

Difference of £8 per sq. metre on my last quote. Comes out as over £1k given the size of the area. Jewsons were the highest in case you were wondering.

i gave up on Jewsons two years ago,they were always top bat , we did have a couple of small independents but they packed it in when they got planning on the yards,they built the houses took the dosh and retired to the sun !

million quid for an acre of brownfield yard is too hard to resist in the dirty south :;):
our old yard near leighton buzzard got sold off and they put 5 million quid houses on the plot
I dont think the £200 a month rent quite had the same cachet for frank the owner
