Its been talked about for years and has happened ad hoc in smaller parties, but it would be good to have a brew cabin day out
myself and setts (chris) have spoke about it and we feel chester race course would be a good day out
most of the brew cabin are in the north west ,but chester is only an hour and a half from londonistan on virgin
anyway if anyone is interested in a day on the ale having a craic then reply here or PM me
and for those who have never been to a race course, its not really about the racing,so lack of interest in horses is not a problem :;):

The round will be shocking for 16,882 members but I'm up for it Ive never been to the big meetings but spent my childhood taking our horse "Valentino" trotting racing!

best days at chester for racing are the saturdays in july or august for a party of lads coming from all over.the best racing is the may festival but its during the week . giles book a b and b or jump the train its less than hour from mancland. liverpool just scored as im typing this . good thing about chester its the only racecourse in a city centre. 2 mins walk and you have pubs and fillies galore

Sounds good.
I'm a reformed gambler though, so I'll leave credit cards at home and only bring enough cash for beer!
I lost £900 last time I went to the dogs and that is nothing next to my financial markets spread betting losses.

The biggest horse race in Australia is the Melbourne cup, it's the equivalent of the grand national and everyone bets on it. My Dad got sent round to put the bets on for everyone and one of them was a trifecta that my Mum / Auntie picked, my Dad decided it didn't have a chance of coming through because one of the horses was 50-1 or sometihng and the other 2 were relatively high odds.
You guessed it... they picked the top 3 horses, would have won something like $10,000
I've been tempted to bet on UFc, I always come out on top in the fantasy betting but I don't have any spare change to lose

I would consider a day out at the races, but reasonably priced accommodation is a must.
