Did any members from dawrn south hear the sonic boom on Thursday 18:30pm created by the euro fighter typhoons on there way to intercept that helicopter in London that wasn’t responding to air traffic control? Our kid lives in Swindon, and says she’s never heard any thing as loud in her life.

Jets aren't allowed to go supersonic over land unless it's an emergency but they can at about 5 miles out to sea although I've heard it plenty times when they've been over land. Grew up in the higlands so VERY used to getting buzzed by them at any hour of the day and would regularly hear the boom when they practiced bombing runs and dog fights. Even directly overhead it wasn't very loud just a distant clap and nothing near thunder. The bigger the plane the louder it gets so Concorde was the loudest.
