Ok so you got your waste license for £150. The council got a little more money out of you just for moving a little waste from work (robbing barstewards)

But where do you take you waste? What do you boys do with it? Are you burning what you can etc?

Yep...shhh lol

all timber i process for firewood, pallets, decking off cuts..the lot.

Plastic - if there is lots on one job, it will get skipped, other wise i incenerate it at the yard, in an incinerator made out of an old farmers provin silo

Firms such as Viridor take small amounts of green waste for very sensible money. Yes, you've got to have a license. They'll take other waste but landfill tax keeps going up so not as cheap. Some skip firms let you dump at their sites.

we burn plastic and any wood we cant use in 45 gallon drums in the yard.

all soil/clay/old tar etc,get piled up and we fill in large holes with, when we can find em. we never pay for waste disposal, but charge out for it.

I take it all to a local skip firms transfer station for recycling a 10x6 trailer filled to the max cost £30-£40 depending on what it is.

Torch whatever I can burn.
The rest either gets taken to skip place, £15 for a tipper load, or if I'm closer to my yard I dump it there until I can fill a 20yd skip.

I don't even have to pay that going to the council tips and they're a rip off.

80quid a tonne, would it not be cheaper to get a skip?

I live out in the country, have fires all the time!

Try this firm viridor
I have an account with them set up for green waste. Min. 1/4t for around £11.00. Not sure of costs for other waste but from past experience not too pricey.

Clean concrete/Tarmac goes for £10 a load (about 4ton)
Wood/trees £10 a wagon load
Soil/clay £48 per load (£20 for cash)
Tho I do maintenance for most the skip/transfer stations and quarry's round here.

I pay 90 quid for an 8 yard skip, any thing go’s in it apart from asbestoses and gas bottles. When I can use a grab wagon its 120 for 13 ton, but no greens. There’s a few farmers round here that let you free tip or charge a 10er per load, but I find it’s not worth the hassle or the diesel, the few quid you save is lost as the job slows down whilst driving about trying to save on skip prices.
