Tony, we looked at getting the saws in the greenhouse but it wasnt the right shape and in particular the entrance was to low. We did look at modifying the green house but in the end thought it best just to start again. The security is very good. We rent the back of the garden centre and our section has its own gate, so its a compound within a compound. No doubt that when we move in we will have a few evening visitors but as long as nothing is stealable, hopefully they wont come back.
LPD. Yeh the current yard is very difficult to operate from. if I remember rightly you had to wait a while to be loaded, is that right?
BOB, the new yard is in Langley, just off junction 5 of the M4, its literally 5 minuts from our existing place.
Thanks for all positive comments Pablo, pickwell and henpecked.
Made a lot of progress, over the last couple of days.
Pergola was swiftly demolished
Watering pits were swiftly dug out and prepped for concrete
Concrete is in. The finish is not brilliant but its 200-250mm deep so it should be good for a few years.
We cut down the section of greenhouse today. All done with a sthill saw, spanner and scaffold tower.
One of the best things about new site is that we have a dedicated entrance for our cans which means container deliveries dont have any impact on the operation and also keeps them segregated form the rest of the business which is good from a health and safety point of view
Stock is starting to fill up now

I dont like the sound of that. One of the most difficult things about employing people is maintaining the high standards that you have set yourself. I cant blame you at all, it drives me mad when you ring up someone to try and give them business and you are met with someone who does not give a shit. Thanks, i do appreciate the feedback

I would sack her on the spot (your not a diddy and have by now) hate it when an employee bad mouths or just basically has a bad attitude. call me old fashioned but the employer pays the wages.
