Hi Lads,
Over the summer had some material build up round the house, anyone need a piece 8'x3'x 30mm piece of browny/black marble worktop with round stainless sink cut in? A twyfords belfast sink and trap or how about a load of stone quoins that im sick of moving? :p If i had a yard they could be left there as its not as they will rot, but i dont and they are in the way.

Well the statue will probably get me a jump later, and the scythes were a chance buy. On the allotment, there's a bit of clearing to be done, so I thought as scythe would be good as the brush cutter is like rocket science to me dad (who also likes to do a bit)
Ended up bidding on 7 (with a few extra bits) and came up under 20 squids

I threw away 7 lengths of granite last week 2 with sink and hob cut outs, the client was crying that they paid 8 grand for them 4 years ago but with the weight involved they are a waste of time
LLL
btw i have a garage full of stuff that i need to move on

I bet theres things in that lot that youve moved around loads of times but you cant bear to get rid because when it gone you,ll need it! We moved yards last year in a downsize and it was heartbreaking to throw some of it on skips, you couldnt give it away to anyone despite knowing it had value to the right person, mental anguish ahoy hoy

I remember going to the tip on a sunday with my old man. We would end up coming back with more stuff than we went with, all complete crap. His garage is just wall to wall with stuff that he cant bear to throw away.
You've got to be ruthless. I chuck everything away, cant be done with clutter.

I hate throwing things in skips so use Freecycle.
I know there are some idiots on there but I've got to know how to recognise them.
I've also left some household stuff outside my house with 'Please Take' stickers on them and they are ALWAYS taken the same day
Not so sure if that would happen with heavy bits of granite though.

We work in a lot of areas with Edwardian/Victorian period Buildings, and a lot of our "Crap" is Recalim bits and bobs or objects we've found, to turn into "features"...ONE DAY!!
