Here's one for the techies out there. I recently had to wipe and reload windows onto my computer due to some malware (wasn't because of a dodgy porn site) and the result of this is that all downloaded programs have been wiped.
I've opened a new itunes account but it won't recognise the ipod because it's registered to the old one and wants to delete all my music. Does anyone know how I can get my stuff back onto itunes.
Cheers,
Paul

Not this time Tony anyway :;): .I needed to update a few drivers so I could use a new CAD program and the software that a tech site suggested for this basically raped my hardrive.

Theres a few pod copy programs out there.
Do you mean itunes as in the website library or itunes the pc program? If its the latter you will have to get a pod copy program, if its the former you will have to e-mail the website.
Oh, and save getting any nasties, I'd invest in a good virus checker and firewall. Notons rubbish so go for kasperi panda or the like.
Malaware bytes is free so get that straight away and it protects from trojans ,rootkits and malaware ,also will work in safemode.

When it comes to business the world speaks windows from HMRC through to accountants so couldn't be bothered with the hassle or the extra cash. Would be a great for personal use but I can't afford 2 computers.

Virgin Media's Anti virus is the best i've ever used. Keeps everything clean and running quickly, but doesn't slow down operations like Norton and the others.
I really struggle to compute with iTunes, seems to set up to be very confusing and misleading.

Anything But Ipod is your answer.
Never be hamstrung by Apple again !!
Never had an ipod and never will. There's plenty of better stuff out there. Don't be a fashion victim. Get yourself a better bit of kit.

I'm on macs got 3 windows is scrabbling to keep up with apple and google.
From a professional point of view mac are based on unix which is a tried and tested secure os, windows is hacked together and copying everything osx does. Ihave office for mac and hmrc works fine, also can dual boot etc if there is a program you need. 5 years on mac not one virus or infection etc
Anyway, your iPod is tied to your iTunes account for purchased music. So you need to authorise your computer with your old account and you'll have access to all your music. Alternative is to get an iPod copier etc that let's you access it as an external hard drive etc
iTunes > store> authorise this computer
On my iPad now

The old account was erased when the system was re installed as was every other downloaded program on it so I'm unable to access it all I can do is open a new account. I know of the pod copying programs but I'm wary of downloading from tech sites after whats just happened so was looking for other folks experiences.
