hi , i worked for a large civil firm about seven years ago and they laid their paving on sand and cement screed that was delivered ready mixed with a 3 day retarder in it . does anybody know how much a tonne would cost. thnx

We used it for about 3 years in swansea the retarder won't last 3 days tho and if it gets wet it'll go like rock I was paying £65 if I picked it up on a private job I was on from the same plant

true hag , this stuff was fine for the first two days .3rd day a bit tough . think it was costing about 45 back then as long as you had a 20 tonne load

Just 1 jumbo sack will cost more . and the weight of the screed in a sack will compact the bottom ,ambient temp ,humidity all play a part ! at best 24h or it just go won't bind IMHO .
