Can you beat this. I was sent to a job a month ago to do a rush job. Because of access i have so far laid one course of bricks and bedded in a gully frame. Dug down to connect to y branch, with 360. There was'nt a y in line so got engineer to order one, waited a week for delivery. Y turned up yesterday but he'd ordered ensign collars instead of timesaver. So got to go back for another week and wait till right stuff comes. That'll be 5 weeks and all i've done is an hours work  Just keep taking the money :;):

They do come along every now and again. I did a Morrisons conversion for Wilmot Dixon. They wanted me on unsocial hours, 2till 10 pm 7 days a week, so I charged accordingly, collected £700 a week for perusing the pie shop for 3 months happy days

Personally I cannot stand jobs where there is lots of idle standaround time, like doing the induction bollocks on sites at 8.30am when we've got 40t of black shit waiting on lorries on-site waiting to be laid.......and 560t to go.....
In the end they saw sense and got us out PDQ

That's what makes it so much harder because i'm usually flat out all day. But i have to go on these jobs sometimes and just have to put up with it. Can't get there late, or have a flier because on the clock, so i'm there from 7.00 till 6.00 trying to invent stuff to do, imagine how boring that is, then 2 1/2 hour journey home :p So basically i leave home at 4.45 am and get home 20.30 pm, doing nothing all day makes it a long boring day.
