Hi
I need some general info (range price per m2) on what it costs to use different types of external flooring. My priority at present is to compare: 600mm square PCC riven slabs with resin bonded gravel and block paving, but if you have a more extensive guide to the price range for other types of florring that would be great. I guess the typical area I'm interested in would be about 100m2. Anyone able to help please?

do you mean supply and fix Nigel?
CBP £75-100 per metre2
PCC slabs £50-75 per metre 2
access and depth of dig affects these

resin bonded is not that expensive and looks good . was talking to a guy on our job the other week . says it costs between 20 and 50 pound a metre just to lay it . looks great when down . this one was on a roof terrace . thats is just to lay .ground prepared already.this one was laid over concrete

Thanks for the responses- i'm interested in an 'all in' cost and appreciate that ground conditons etc will affect these. Any further advice welcomed:)

Nigel, i would suggest you ask your contractors for a price. At least then you will have an accurate indication. We all vary in price, and can be thousands

Thanks
At this stage i'm trying to get an idea to help consider different options on a project I'm desinging in a sensitive historic location and seeing if i can persuade client to go for a higher quality finish as opposed to more of the same RCC flags they currently have. i'll get a range of contractor prices later once the broad options have been assessed. Again, any further advice welcomed.

Hi Nigel
You seem to be quite specific in your enquiry; if you wish please message me and I'll give you a call. That's a quicker and easier way to exchange information than in the forum.

You may want to consider reclaimed stone then?

i'd be inclined to agree with haggi.

Thanks for the additional comments. i like the idea of reclaimed stone, but suspect that cost may rule this out, so if anyone can give me a rough idea of what this might be again on an 'all in' basis that would be helpful. The location is a courtyard garden in the grounds of a former Georgian/victorian workhouse, now a museum. Main existing materials red brick, slate roofs, some flint, pea shingle. cheers

I assume it doesn't come under a conservation area / listed building etc?

Look on the site index, there are plenty of prices there.
