while on world matters i got to thinking about the japanese
I find it humbling how they have got on with it after their earthquake, tsunami and nuclear incident
no looting ,no killing , no calls for hand outs
just a steely resolve to put it back together
whatever other issues the Japanese have got ,they have gone up in my esteem this week

It's crazy to think of how much they have had to cope with in such a short space of time. But one thing I noticed, is for the first few days, it was all chaos and queues at empty supermarkets.

A few days later everyone has access to fully stocked supermarkets.

Yet the whole of Britain was knackered by 2 inches of snow for a fortnight.

when you seen the pictures of the supermarkets with the managers outside saying, 1 item only of certain things as were running low no-one complained etc.

The japanese are a very Stoic People, they've built themselves out of nothing several times now, not sure they'll come back financially after this as they were already in a deep recession, but just look at the casulty numbers. Their defences against Tsunamis worked in the main, most people got to safety. Not sure we'd cope as well if one hit us.
They seem very conscious of their collective in Japan, which I think we've lost, to much division in this Country.

Its a matter of fact in Japan, this type of disaster happens regularly (not on this scale of course) as the island sits on top of the Asian tectonic plate, the Pacific plate is sliding underneath. Usually they glide along, but sometimes they get stuck, pressure builds and bam, earth quake.

They will get over it, have you not seen their game shows?

Just keep on being amazed by the resilience of the Japanese people.

How many years (and millions) would it take in the UK?
Before, then 6 days later.
