he blew up 270 people ===> no problem

he harbours Yvonne fletcher's killer ===> no problem

supplies the IRA for 20 years ===> no problem

todays terrorists are tomorrow's freedom fighters

have you seen petrol prices something has got to be done to keep europe moving. and i think starting a punch up with a country with a nutter for leader, on the brink of civil war and that has a large oil reserve, is just the thing.

I'm more amazed the french have
a) got involved at all
b) not surrendered yet

Bunch of cynical typical brew cabin view, what's next bemoaning the fact there will be a load of libiyans after our jobs next ;)

I think we should have acted sooner those poor sods in Libyia same as any dictator controlled state speak out even in close circle of friends you disappear and your family can't kick upna fuss or they go as well.

I say go for it bomb the shit out of any of gadafis units they'll soon like any bully Get fed up and flee or switch sides when it's a fairer fight.

yes but giles if we had any cojones we would have done it after lockerbie
he is a tyrant and should have been kicked years ago

but if that is the case why arent we bombing saudi, russia and china?

far, far, worse human rights abuses going on there than in Libya

there is an ulterior motive here and its not the welfare of Libyans

look at iraq after sadman got dropped, total chaos for the last 10 years

my feeling is that the airstrikes are to stabilise the financial markets

the only reason we go to war now is oil and before anyone says afghanistan has none, it now has a huge oil pipeline running through it. ???

No oil but over a billion in mineral reserves . Mostly copper.
Gadaffi sure is getting a kick-in this weekend. He wont last a week, I'll take anyone's money on that.
Not really surprised at the French reaction, after all theyre sharing our military capability now :;):

Oh, ps Giles, we will have the Egyptians over first lol :)

i think gadaffi will survive ,you dont last 41 years as a dictator without a low cunning
not sure what the french are up to but it could end in tears
rumour has it ,their white flag factory has gone on strike, crippling their whole military capability :;):
i wonder if theres an uprising in Saudi will the UN bomb Riyadh?

Well done suggers, I kind of thought that already, but to hear someone so high up the chain say it, makes it more chilling. Why don't these people come out and say something before Thousands of people get killed. I don't feel Countries really have much to say in World matters, It's just large corporate decisions now, hence Chima and Russia keeping out of it and also being left alone. They control their areas, USA the rest and their all free to do as they please. clarke was right, without Oil the Middle East would be as impoverished as Africa.
