It's a great look and will be popular with lots of people on a budget. And will properly look good and be adequate for its purpose for years but people who want proper setts will always have proper setts.
And I wouldn't refuse laying them but would express my concerns to the customer who will still go for the big saving in the end!

That's the good thing about new or innovative products - Everyone has different opinions. It wouldn't half be boring if we all thought the same way !
I would suggest people either use the product first or see it up close before making negative judgements. I was sceptical about cobbletech, now I applaud it

Innovation is all about breaking boundaries and trying new things. And I am all for that.
If Marshalls had suggested 20 years ago that we used resin as a jointing material in flags then you would all be saying it was a rubbish idea - you can only use mortar etc etc. look now how many resin products there are.
Oh how things have changed. We used to lay 75mm thick slabs, now it's 22mm calibrated sandstone

Marshalls are a innovative and pro active company and you can't take that away from them, It was your choice to leave the Marshall's register for what ever reasons you had but I can't believe for one minute you left because Cobbletech can only take 3.5 tons in weight, they have tested Cobbletech with wagons, fork lift trucks and cars/vans going over it and so I have been told it has not budged

they are currently testing Cobbletech so it can be launched as a commercial product, not saying it will ever replace the sett driveways that you install but it certainly offers a more cost effective alternative if that's what the customer requires

No mick it's not about the 3.5 ton that's just to protect them it's the flexible bed that's the problem and I do my drives for 30 ton plus and have had 20 ton track machines on them . In Germany they run tanks on em and I would have to rewrite the first page on my website which says we don't use reproduction materials or inferior and my remit is natural material so how could I promote Marshall s cobblels without looking a fool sett laying doesn't come out of a glossy brochure or a cad machine . Stone is stone and concrete is concrete
