An onsite silo (big metal things normally used by farmers for storing grain etc ) filled with dry mix.

Question for cookie! With the dry mix do you not find that you end up with a few rockers and hollow sounding flags for the customer to moan about??

dry mix is fine with those thick flags Dan as long as they're bedded well they stay where they are. It's best to add a bit of water just to get it to go off better you can also get the silo to add some plasticiser and sbr if you're using thinner paving. I occasionally use them if we've got the space they do work out cheaper.

The silo has an adjustable water setting with a consistent 4 to 1 shape sand mortar mix.we are using a semi dry mix then top up the joints to about 30mm from paving surface then soak the paving which then setts the mix like concrete!!!
